Dr.Mohanlal Divakaran, MBBS,MS, MCh (Neuro)Chairman (AMRC).

Dr.Mohanlal Divakaran started his neurosurgical career in 1979. Initially he worked in Sree Chitra Medical Centre and then Trivandrum Medical College where he obtained the MCh degree. Moved on to Calicut Medical College in 1988 and then took leave starting private practice in Trichur in 1989, being the first neurosurgeon in this city. Organized neurosurgical services in different hospitals while mainly based in Elite Mission Hospital where he formed the first minimally invasive neurosurgery setup in the state with neuroendoscopy and stereotaxy.
From 2003 to 2008 he worked as Senior Consultant in Neurosurgery and HOD in Al Qassimi Hospital under the MOH of UAE.
He has had extensive training from various centers in USA, Germany, Japan and Korea. His main interests are in neuro spinal trauma related problems and degenerative spine diseases. Was the first to start endoscopic neurosurgery in Kerala.
With his vast experience in management of disc diseases he is a strong advocate for trial of conservative management of disc prolapse in carefully selected cases.
